2. Delivery area
We mainly deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom.
This may include:
- England;
- Scotland;
- Wales;
- Northern Ireland;
- the Scottish Highlands and Islands;
- the Isle of Man; and
- the Channel Islands.
Available delivery services and delivery times may vary depending on the destination postcode, courier restrictions, parcel size and order value.
Where we cannot deliver to an address, or where additional arrangements are required, we will contact the customer before dispatch.
3. Delivery services and charges
The delivery services available for an order will be displayed at checkout.
Royal Mail Tracked 48
Delivery charge: Free
Royal Mail Tracked 48 aims to deliver within two to three working days after dispatch.
This is an estimated delivery aim and is not a guaranteed 48-hour delivery service. Delivery aims may not apply to certain remote postcode areas.
Royal Mail Tracked 24
Delivery charge: £2.99
Royal Mail Tracked 24 aims to deliver on the next working day after dispatch.
This is a delivery aim and is not guaranteed. Some destinations may take longer.
Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1 pm
Delivery charge: £7.99
Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1 pm provides tracked and signed delivery by 1 pm on the next working day, provided the parcel is accepted before the relevant Royal Mail cutoff and all service conditions are met.
Saturday delivery, remote destinations and certain postcode areas may be subject to different conditions or additional restrictions.
The exact service offered at checkout will apply to the order.
4. Order cutoff and dispatch times
Orders placed and payment-cleared before 3:00 pm will normally be dispatched on the same working day where possible.
Orders placed after 3:00 pm will normally be dispatched on the next working day.
Our normal dispatch timeframe is:
- the same working day; or
- within one working day.
Same-day dispatch is not guaranteed.
Dispatch may be delayed where:
- payment requires additional verification;
- an order is flagged for fraud review;
- the delivery address is incomplete or cannot be verified;
- stock information is incorrect;
- the order is unusually large;
- Royal Mail or another delivery provider is unavailable;
- severe weather or disruption occurs;
- the order is placed on a public holiday; or
- circumstances arise outside our reasonable control.
5. Working days
For dispatch purposes, working days normally mean Monday to Friday, excluding bank and public holidays.
Although our customer collection location is open seven days a week, Royal Mail collection schedules and guaranteed delivery services may operate differently at weekends and on public holidays.
An order placed after the Friday cutoff may not be dispatched until the next applicable Royal Mail working day.
6. Order confirmation and tracking
Once an order has been dispatched, we will normally send a dispatch confirmation using the email address or telephone number provided with the order.
Where tracking is available, the confirmation will include a Royal Mail tracking number or a link to tracking information.
Customers are responsible for providing:
- a correct email address;
- a valid telephone number;
- a complete delivery address; and
- any necessary address details, such as flat number, building name or access instructions.
7. Delivery estimates
Delivery times shown on our website are estimates unless the selected service is expressly described as guaranteed.
Delivery time begins when the order is dispatched, not when the order is placed.
Royal Mail currently states that:
- Tracked 48 aims for delivery within two to three working days; and
- Tracked 24 aims for delivery on the next working day.
Delivery may take longer because of:
- remote postcode restrictions;
- weather;
- postal disruption;
- bank holidays;
- industrial action;
- address problems;
- missed delivery attempts;
- security checks; or
- other events outside our control.
Unless a different timeframe has been agreed, online retailers must generally deliver goods within 30 days of the order.
8. Remote and offshore destinations
Deliveries to Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and Islands, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands and other remote areas may:
- take longer;
- have fewer available delivery options;
- fall outside normal Royal Mail delivery aims; or
- require us to contact the customer before dispatch.
Premium services may not provide the same delivery guarantee to every postcode.
Where a delivery option is unavailable, we may offer an alternative service or cancel and refund the order.
9. Customer collection
Collection is available from:
A2Z Electronics Manchester Ltd
14 Burnside Drive
Manchester
England
M19 2LU
Collection hours:
Monday to Sunday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Collection must be arranged and confirmed in advance.
Do not travel to the collection address until we have confirmed that the order is ready.
For security and fraud prevention, the person collecting may be required to provide:
- the order-confirmation email;
- the order number;
- valid photographic identification;
- the payment card used for the order; and
- written authorisation where another person is collecting on behalf of the customer.
We may refuse to release an order where we cannot reasonably verify the customer’s identity or authority to collect.
10. Incorrect or incomplete addresses
Customers must check the delivery address carefully before submitting an order.
We are not responsible for delays or failed delivery caused by incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer.
Contact us immediately if an address needs to be corrected.
We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after the order has entered processing or has been dispatched.
If an order is returned to us because:
- the address was incorrect or incomplete;
- the recipient was unavailable;
- the parcel was not collected;
- delivery was refused; or
- the customer failed to respond to Royal Mail,
we may require payment of a new delivery charge before resending the order.
Where the customer chooses not to have the order resent, any refund may be reduced by reasonable delivery or return costs where legally permitted.
11. Safe-place and neighbour deliveries
Royal Mail may offer delivery options such as:
- delivery to a nominated safe place;
- delivery to a neighbour;
- redirection to a local collection point; or
- delivery on another date.
Customers should not nominate an insecure safe place for high-value electronics.
Where a customer directly instructs Royal Mail to leave a parcel in a safe place or with a neighbour, delivery may be treated as completed when Royal Mail follows that instruction.
This does not affect liability where the parcel was not delivered in accordance with the customer’s instructions or applicable law.
12. Missed deliveries
If nobody is available to receive the parcel, Royal Mail may:
- attempt delivery again;
- leave a delivery card;
- deliver to a nominated safe place;
- deliver to a neighbour;
- hold the parcel at a delivery office; or
- offer redelivery or collection options.
The customer is responsible for following the instructions supplied by Royal Mail.
If a parcel is returned to us after unsuccessful delivery attempts or because it was not collected, additional postage may be charged before redelivery.
13. Delayed orders
A parcel is not necessarily lost merely because it has not arrived within the estimated delivery timeframe.
Before contacting us, customers should:
- check the Royal Mail tracking information;
- check for delivery updates;
- check with other household members;
- check any nominated safe place;
- check with neighbours; and
- check whether Royal Mail has left a delivery card.
If the parcel remains undelivered, contact us at:
Please provide the order number and delivery postcode.
We may need to allow Royal Mail’s investigation or claims timeframe to expire before treating the parcel as lost.
14. Lost parcels
Where a parcel appears to be lost, we may open an investigation with Royal Mail.
The customer may be required to:
- confirm that the parcel has not been received;
- complete a declaration of non-receipt;
- confirm the delivery address;
- cooperate with Royal Mail’s investigation; and
- provide any information reasonably required to resolve the claim.
Where the parcel is confirmed as lost, we will offer an appropriate replacement or refund, subject to stock availability and applicable consumer rights.
Submitting a false non-receipt claim may constitute fraud and may be reported to the payment provider, delivery provider or relevant authorities.
15. Parcels marked as delivered
Where tracking shows a parcel as delivered but the customer cannot find it, the customer should first:
- check with all members of the household;
- check the nominated safe place;
- check nearby entrances or outbuildings;
- check with immediate neighbours;
- review any delivery photograph; and
- contact Royal Mail where appropriate.
Contact us promptly if the parcel still cannot be located.
We may request delivery confirmation, GPS information, photographs or other evidence from Royal Mail.
A tracking status alone will not prevent us from investigating a genuine delivery dispute.
16. Damaged parcels
Customers should inspect the external packaging on delivery where reasonably possible.
If a parcel appears damaged:
- Photograph the parcel before opening it.
- Photograph the delivery label.
- Photograph the internal packaging.
- Photograph any damage to the product.
- Keep all packaging and accessories.
- Contact us as soon as possible.
Do not dispose of the packaging while the matter is being investigated.
We may need the packaging and photographs to submit a claim to Royal Mail.
17. Incorrect or missing items
If an order contains the wrong product or an item is missing, contact us promptly at:
Please provide:
- your order number;
- a description of the problem;
- photographs of the parcel;
- photographs of the delivery label;
- photographs of the product received; and
- photographs of the packaging contents.
Where we have sent an incorrect product or omitted an item, we will cover the reasonable cost of correcting the order.
18. Delivery responsibility and risk
Risk in the goods normally passes to the customer when the goods are delivered into the physical possession of:
- the customer; or
- another person identified by the customer to receive them.
Where the customer independently instructs the courier to deliver to a neighbour or safe place, responsibility may pass when the delivery is completed according to that instruction.
Nothing in this policy removes statutory rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
19. Order cancellation before dispatch
Contact us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel an order before dispatch.
We will try to stop the order, but we cannot guarantee cancellation after processing has begun.
If the order has already been dispatched, it must normally be handled under our Refund, Returns and Cancellation Policy.
20. Delivery charges following cancellation
Where a customer validly exercises statutory cancellation rights, we will refund the standard outbound delivery charge where applicable.
Our standard Royal Mail Tracked 48 delivery is free.
Any additional amount paid for an enhanced service, including Tracked 24 or Special Delivery, may not be refundable above the cost of the standard delivery option.
Change-of-mind return postage is the customer’s responsibility.
For faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed products, we will provide or cover a reasonable return method.
21. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, including:
- severe weather;
- Royal Mail disruption;
- industrial action;
- road or transport disruption;
- system or network outages;
- natural disasters;
- government restrictions;
- public emergencies;
- security incidents; or
- other events that could not reasonably have been avoided.
We will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and keep affected customers informed.
