Version, calls and warranty

This is the Middle East (UAE) version of the Samsung Galaxy A08: the same phone sold in that region, in English, with Google Play and Samsung updates, factory unlocked for any UK SIM.

Calls on Three: Three, SMARTY and iD Mobile carry calls only over 4G (VoLTE). This UAE-version unit runs Middle East firmware that may not switch on VoLTE on UK networks, and without VoLTE calls won't work on these networks. On EE, O2 and Vodafone (and networks that use them) data and texts work; if VoLTE isn't active, calls use 2G instead, which UK networks plan to switch off around 2029–2030.

Warranty: this Middle East (UAE) version isn't covered by Samsung UK or Samsung Europe. We handle any fault under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
